Commitment
to Community Jenkins Living Center provides care at many levels for seniors in Watertown and the surrounding areas but also reaches out beyond the immediate clientele. Being involved in the community is a priority for Jenkins Living Center.
Jenkins employees and administration
also support other community programs including: § Alzheimer’s/Aging Family Support Group - The first support group of its kind in Watertown, the group helps family members dealing with the issues of aging and Alzheimer’s disease.

J-Club Program - Provides a Senior circuit
exercise club.
§
Jenkins Living Center is a training site for nursing students in the Licensed Practical
Nurse program at Lake Area Technical Institute. Jenkins also provides
training assistance for physical therapy and COTA students.
§
Jenkins Living Center is
the nurse aide testing center for northeastern South Dakota.
§
Jenkins Living Center is a meeting site for the Watertown Parkinson’s Support Group.
§
Jenkins Living Center offers community education and health programs on important
health-related topics.
§
Jenkins Living Center sponsors two scholarships to the LPN program at Lake Area Technical
Institute. § Jenkins Living Center Foundation offers the Messer Scholarship to an employee or family member of an employee who pursues a degree in the medical field.
