Jenkins Living Center provides care at many levels for seniors in Watertown and the surrounding areas but also reaches out beyond the immediate clientele. Being involved in the community is a priority for Jenkins Living Center.

Jenkins employees and administration also support other community programs including:

§      Alzheimer’s/Aging Family Support Group - The first support group of its kind in Watertown, the group helps family members dealing with the issues of aging and Alzheimer’s disease.

§      J-Club Program - Provides a Senior circuit exercise club.

§      Jenkins Living Center is a training site for nursing students in the Licensed Practical Nurse program at Lake Area Technical Institute. Jenkins also provides training assistance for physical therapy and COTA students.

§      Jenkins Living Center is the nurse aide testing center for northeastern South Dakota.

§      Jenkins Living Center is a meeting site for the Watertown Parkinson’s Support Group.

§      Jenkins Living Center offers community education and health programs on important health-related topics.

§      Jenkins Living Center sponsors two scholarships to the LPN program at Lake Area Technical Institute.  

§      Jenkins Living Center Foundation offers the Messer Scholarship to an employee or family member of an employee who pursues a degree in the medical field.
